Babangida Reveals Real reason Oliseh resigned....
According to Babangida, Oliseh’s resignation was not a surprise at all, because he was surprised when he found out that the NFF promised to pay Harve Renard $100,000 a month, when his own salary of N5million a month could not even be paid.
“We saw this coming. Nothing is hidden. Oliseh was reliably informed that NFF went to talk to Herve Renard to take over the job as Super Eagles coach.
This is one of the things that violated the contract he signed when he became coach,” Babangida said.
“He believes his employers are not supporting him to succeed; rather, they are planning for him to fail. Especially, with the crucial game coming up in a month’s time against Egypt for the AFCON qualifier.
He feels if he is the problem, why will he be a stumbling block? Hence, his resignation.
“He resigned so that NFF can do what they want to do. With match bonuses owed, salaries not paid, camping allowances too.
The house NFF promised him has not even been secured for him. So, where will he stay when he comes to Abuja? Hotel? ”
So, many violations of his contract. No one can work like that.
NFF cannot pay Oliseh N5million but they went promising Renard $100,000. This is sad. Why won’t he not resign?”

LOPSIDED PROMOTIONS: CUSTOMS BOSS RISKS ARREST, SAY REPS
The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions on Wednesday threatened to order the arrest of the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.), for shunning an invitation to appear before lawmakers.
The committee is investigating a petition on alleged “lopsided” promotions and posting of personnel in the NCS soon after Ali assumed the leadership of the agency last year.
The petition was sent to the House by a group, Ohanaeze Youth Vanguard.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta, said in Abuja on Wednesday that Ali had failed to honour several invitations the committee sent to him to appear in respect of the pending petition.
Nkem-Abonta stated, “We have invited him repeatedly and he has been giving excuses.
“This is not a military era. He has now been summoned to appear before the House on March 9. If he doesn’t show up, a warrant will be issued for him to appear here.”
He observed that Ali’s conduct suggested that he was insensitive to the complaints by aggrieved Nigerians. These are Nigerians who have complained to us and it is our duty to address the issue,” he added.
The President of the Ohanaeze Youth Vanguard, Mr. Igweka Okonkwo, claimed that Ali, on assumption of duty, approved the promotions and posting of personnel in 2015 that shut out many officers of South-East extraction.
